What to wear

Baku in August is hot, sunny and windy — expect daytime temperatures around 30–35°C / 86–95°F, warm evenings around 24–28°C / 75–82°F. Not the place for heavy fabrics, bad shoes or stuff that might fly away.

For the most reliable local forecast closer to the weekend, check weather.day.az.

Pack for hot days, dressed-up evenings and looking excellent in photos.

  • For the city: light, breathable fabrics (cotton, linen, silk) and comfortable shoes
  • For evenings: cocktail attire — dresses for women; blazers or suits for men
  • For the wedding: black tie — long gowns or tailored evening suits for women; tuxedo or dark suit for men
  • Extras: swimsuits, flipflops, sandals, a hat or cap that won’t fly away, plenty of SPF, light layers for windy evenings

Below is a quick day-by-day guide on what to wear. The images are meant as inspo — a sense of mood and formality for each part of the weekend.
