Get Around

Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) is the main gateway, about 45 minutes from central Baku by car. Direct flights connect from most European hubs like London, Frankfurt and Istanbul.

For scheduled events, transport will be arranged to and from all venues.

Getting around: Uber and Bolt both work well in Baku. For a more comfortable (and slightly more expensive) ride, you can opt for the local "London cabs" — affectionately known as aubergines.

For public transport, we recommend the metro — it's fast and useful for longer distances or when traffic picks up. Some stations are worth a visit!
